Oʻahu is a year-round destination with trade winds keeping temperatures comfortable (75–88 °F) throughout the year. April through September is the dry season, with calmer south-shore surf ideal for snorkeling and beach activities. October through March brings occasional rain and large swells to the North Shore — the best season to watch big-wave surfing at Pipeline and Sunset Beach. Hotel rates and crowds peak in mid-December through early January and again in summer (June–August); the shoulder months of April–May and September–October offer the best balance of weather, prices, and thinner crowds.
